Our Story
From the La Mirada swap meet to Huntington Beach
Our story begins in the early 1980s, when Transito (Tito) Baca started selling jewelry at the La Mirada swap meet. Across town, Lisa was carrying a jewelry tradition that began in Cambodia, where she grew up learning the craft from her family. After fleeing the Khmer Rouge regime, Lisa and her family rebuilt their jewelry business from the ground up in the LA Jewelry District.
Tito and Lisa met in the heart of that jewelry scene, Lisa as a vendor and Tito as a jeweler who had grown from swap meets to his own kiosk at Stonewood Mall. Together they founded Goldmine Jewelers in 1992, and in 2006, Princess Bride Diamonds.
What began as a small family business is now a trusted name in fine jewelry, serving generations of couples in Orange County and across the country. And it is still, at its heart, a family behind a counter, taking care of yours.
