Jake & Lauren

On February 25th, 2017 Jake asked me to be his wife. We were at his mom's wedding so his family and even some of mine were there to witness our amazing moment together. A month prior to the wedding was when he started planning out the proposal. He bought the ring from Princess Bride Diamonds and immediately took it to show my mom and dad. After he received their blessing, it then came time to propose. At Jake's mother's wedding, Jake had been acting... a little off. He was being very quiet and I noticed he was trying to stay on my right side. Little did I know, the ring was in his right jacket pocket. At the wedding reception, it finally came time for the bouquet toss. Jake kept telling me for weeks that I should try going for it. I laughed it off and said I'd give it a shot. As she was about to toss the bouquet into the crowd, she looks back at the group of girls one more time, turns around again and throws it over to Jake! The crowd started cheering for what was about to happen next. Jake walked around the table, bouquet-in-hand, got on one knee in front of both of our moms, our siblings, and friends. Jake then pulled out the stunning ring he had been hiding from me that entire day. Jake started to tear up and asked me in these exact words. "Lauren, I love you so damn much. Will you marry me?" I was in shock and the crowd was going wild. As I hugged him as tight as I could, I told him to his ear "YES!" As we both began to cry, my mother, his mother, and our siblings all came together to congratulate us and welcome each other to our families. It was a moment that will never be forgotten. One of the best parts about it was the instant love and support that our families had for us.
